HOLY WEEK 2022 | Lenten Recollection and Liturgical Services

Tthis year's Lenten Recollection is sponsored by the Ateneo de Davao University Blue Knight Association, Inc. and the Alumni Affairs Office in collaboration with the University Chaplain's Office, the Campus Ministry Office-Higher Education Unit, the Ignatian Spirituality & Formation Office, the University Physical Plant Office, the Office of the Assistant to the President for Community Center and Martin Hall Operations, the University Clinics, and the Institutional Communications & Promotions Office.

The Lenten Recollection at the AdDU Jacinto campus is FREE.

This year it will be from April 14 to 16, Holy Thursday to Holy Saturday, Easter Vigil. I encourage our Catholic alumni/alumnae, family members and friends in the Davao City area to consider taking part in these spiritual exercises as a very worthwhile way of fruitfully preparing for the celebration of Easter.

Fr. Victor R. Baltazar, S.J., Jesuit Collaborator of the Ignatian Spirituality and Formation Office of the AdDU, will facilitate this year's traditional Lenten Recollection.

The recollection sessions and Lenten liturgical services will be in the University Chapel of Our Lady of the Assumption, Jacinto Campus. Registration each day of the recollection begins at 8:15 a.m. The activities will also be live-streamed to the public on the Ateneo de Davao University Facebook page.

There is NO REGISTRATION FEE, through courtesy of the Ateneo de Davao University Blue Knight Association. Participants are also encouraged to bring jackets or clothing to keep them warm. It would also be best to bring your own “baon”, especially for Good Friday, when stores near the campus will be closed, and to bring your own water jug in adherence to the university policy on single-use plastics in our AdDU campuses.

Those interested in participating in the Holy Week Recollection and/or the Lenten liturgical services may fill out the Google Form through https://bit.ly/ADDUHolyWeek2022 until April 12. We kindly request you to fill out and submit one form per participant and to please check your email for updates. Your vaccination card and valid ID are required for entry.
