Ateneo de Davao University, BDO Foundation Launch Scholarship-to-Career Pathway for Computer Studies and Business Students

IN PHOTOS | Ateneo de Davao University and BDO Foundation formalized a landmark partnership on July 16, 2026, with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement to establish a Scholarship and Career Development Pathway for students in Computer Studies and Business–related programs. The maiden project creates a direct scholarship-to-employment pathway within the same industry, offering scholarship support, industry exposure, mentorship, internship placements, and enhanced career opportunities aligned with scholars’ fields of study.

The signing took place at Sampaguita Boardroom, 48th Floor BDO Corporate Center Ortigas, 12 ADB Avenue, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City, with a live watch party at the Pakighinabi Room, 3rd Floor CCFC, Ateneo de Davao University, hosted by Office of Admissions and Aid and the ICommP — attended by scholars, student  leaders, faculty and administrators of the Computer Studies Cluster who witnessed this significant milestone.

Representing Ateneo de Davao University were Fr. Karel S. San Juan, SJ, PhD, University President; Fr. Antonio M. Basilio, SJ, PhD, Vice President for Higher Education and Vice President of Research, Innovation, and Community Engagement, and Ms. Lilibeth L. Arcena, Director, Office of Pathways for Institutional Advancement and Alumni Engagement. 

From BDO in attendance were Mr. Nestor V. Tan, BDO Unibank, Inc. President and CEO and BDO Foundation Trustee; Mr. Mario A. Deriquito, BDO Foundation President; Ms. Ma. Corazon A. Mallillin, BDO Foundation Trustee and BDO Unibank Branch Banking Group Head ; Ms. Evelyn C. Salagubang, BDO Foundation Trustee and BDO Unibank Human Resources Group Head; and Mr Jesus Antonio S Itchon, President of BDO Network Bank and other BDO Officers and guests.
